The Representative Assembly
The Representative Assembly (RA) is composed of 24 faculty members and post docs elected from and by our members-in-good standing for three year terms. The RA includes E-Board officers and meets four times per academic year to conduct union business, serving as UNAC’s policy, priority, and budget setting body.
As part of their policy and priority setting responsibilities, our RA members actively lead and participate in UNAC committees. The RA also approves UNAC’s annual budget every April and determines whether a TA’d CBA should be passed to membership for a ratification vote during negotiations.
Each University and all extended sites collectively have a proportional number of members on the RA-see lists below. Before each RA election, our bargaining unit is reapportioned to ensure equal representation between MAUs and extended sites (community and rural campuses) on the RA.
